In the world of open-water swimming, some figures emerge through their determination, talent, and ability to overcome challenges. Caroline Jouisse perfectly embodies these qualities. Devoted to her sport from a young age, she has dedicated years of effort to achieve excellence. Her unwavering determination and hard work were rewarded at the World Championships in Doha, where she secured an impressive 7th place in the 10km.


Early Journey:

Born on May 26, 1994, in Saint-Mandé, Caroline Jouisse quickly showed an affinity for water. From the age of 3, she immersed herself in the world of swimming, developing her skills over the years to reach remarkable heights. Her early commitment to the sport set her on the path to success, propelling her towards extraordinary achievements.


Ascent to Excellence:

Caroline Jouisse’s journey is marked by unwavering devotion to her sport. From the 6th grade onwards, she embarked on a sports study program, laying the foundation for a promising career. Her love for open-water swimming took root in 2012, and since then, she has continuously pushed her limits. Her beginnings in Versailles were the prelude to a series of successes in various clubs, culminating in her arrival at the Bourges club, where her talent blossomed.


Challenges and Triumphs:

Caroline Jouisse excels particularly in the 25km, a demanding distance that tests the physical and mental strength of athletes. Her victory at the European Championships in 2022 was the culmination of her dedication and hard work. However, faced with the evolving competitive landscape, she had to adapt, turning to shorter distances with the expertise of her coach, Yannick Cadilhac.


Determination and Adaptability:

The removal of her favorite event from the World Championships program could have been an insurmountable obstacle for some, but not for Caroline Jouisse. With unwavering determination, she rose to the challenge, honing her skills and focusing on shorter distances. Her victory in the sprint on the 10km in Setubal in 2023 and her third place in the overall standings of the 10km World Cup the same year attest to her ability to adapt and excel in changing conditions.


Remarkable Record:

Over the years, Caroline Jouisse has accumulated an impressive record, marked by memorable victories and remarkable performances. From her victory at the French Open Water Swimming Cup in 2013 to her medals at the European Championships and the Military World Games, she has left an indelible mark on the world of swimming.
